Description

These Meatball Parmesan Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack featuring Hawaiian rolls filled with savory meatballs, melty mozzarella, tangy tomato sauce, and Parmesan cheese, all toasted to golden perfection with garlic butter.

Ingredients

Scale

Slider Base

  • 1 package Kings Hawaiian Rolls

Meatball Filling

  • 12 cooked cocktail meatballs
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4-1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Garlic Butter

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for toasting and baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare Rolls: Cut small circles into the center of each Hawaiian roll, creating a larger indent to hold the fillings.
  3. Toast Rolls: Brush the rolls generously with garlic butter made from melted butter mixed with Italian seasoning, then toast in the oven for about 4 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Add Sauce and Cheese: Spoon tomato sauce into the indent of each roll, then sprinkle a portion of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Assemble Meatballs: Place a warmed cooked cocktail meatball on top of the sauced and cheesy rolls, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and then add the remaining mozzarella cheese over the meatballs.
  6. Bake Sliders: Return the assembled sliders to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.
  7. Serve: Allow the sliders to cool slightly for easier handling before serving warm.

Notes

  • Using pre-cooked cocktail meatballs speeds up preparation time.
  • Adjust the amount of mozzarella cheese according to your preference for cheesiness.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes inside the rolls before assembling.
  • These sliders are best enjoyed fresh and warm.
  • Store leftover sliders wrapped tightly in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven for best texture.
