Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 ounces silver tequila
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- ½ ounce orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or triple sec)
- ½ ounce lavender simple syrup
- Ice
Garnish
- Lemon slices
- Dried culinary lavender (for garnish)
Optional
- Salt or sugar (for rimming glass)
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass: If desired, rim your glass with salt or sugar by rubbing a lemon wedge around the edge and dipping it into a shallow plate of your choice. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
- Mix the Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the silver tequila, fresh lemon juice, orange liqueur, and lavender simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the chilled cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice, ensuring a smooth pour without ice shards or pulp.
- Garnish: Garnish your margarita with a lemon slice and a small pinch of dried culinary lavender for an elegant and aromatic finish.
Notes
- To make lavender simple syrup, combine ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve sugar. Let steep for 10 minutes, then strain and cool. Store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
- For a mocktail version, replace the tequila and orange liqueur with sparkling water and a splash of lemonade for a similar flavor profile without alcohol.
