Description

Lemon Lavender Margaritas are a refreshing twist on the classic margarita, blending zesty lemon juice with fragrant lavender simple syrup and smooth silver tequila. This elegant cocktail offers a floral and citrusy flavor profile, perfect for summer gatherings or a relaxing evening.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • ½ ounce orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or triple sec)
  • ½ ounce lavender simple syrup
  • Ice

Garnish

  • Lemon slices
  • Dried culinary lavender (for garnish)

Optional

  • Salt or sugar (for rimming glass)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: If desired, rim your glass with salt or sugar by rubbing a lemon wedge around the edge and dipping it into a shallow plate of your choice. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
  2. Mix the Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the silver tequila, fresh lemon juice, orange liqueur, and lavender simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.
  3. Strain and Serve: Strain the chilled cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice, ensuring a smooth pour without ice shards or pulp.
  4. Garnish: Garnish your margarita with a lemon slice and a small pinch of dried culinary lavender for an elegant and aromatic finish.

Notes

  • To make lavender simple syrup, combine ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve sugar. Let steep for 10 minutes, then strain and cool. Store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
  • For a mocktail version, replace the tequila and orange liqueur with sparkling water and a splash of lemonade for a similar flavor profile without alcohol.
