Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Garlic Butter
- 1 pound Steak (sirloin or ribeye) – sirloin for lean, ribeye for rich flavor
- 2 tablespoons Salted Butter
- 3 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
Cheesy Linguine
- 8 ounces Linguine Pasta
- 1 cup Four-Cheese Blend (cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, cream cheese)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak: Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Season generously with salt and black pepper, then pat dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
- Cook the Linguine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining the pasta.
- Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your liking.
- Sauté Garlic and Parsley: Lower the heat to medium-low in the same skillet. Add the salted butter and allow it to melt. Sauté the minced garlic and chopped parsley until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Toss Steak in Garlic Butter: Return the seared steak to the skillet and toss well to coat in the garlic butter mixture. Remove the skillet from heat and set aside.
- Prepare the Cheese Sauce: In a separate saucepan over low heat, combine the heavy cream and cream cheese, stirring continuously until smooth. Gradually add the four-cheese blend, continuing to stir until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Toss Linguine with Cheese Sauce: Add the drained linguine to the cheese sauce, tossing to coat thoroughly. Let it simmer gently for 1 minute to allow the flavors to meld. If needed, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach your desired sauce consistency.
- Serve: Plate the cheesy linguine alongside the garlic butter steak. Garnish with extra parsley or parmesan cheese if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Choose sirloin for a leaner steak or ribeye for richer marbling.
- Patting the steak dry before searing ensures a better caramelized crust.
- Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency as needed.
- Use freshly minced garlic for the best flavor impact.
- For extra richness, add a splash of white wine to the cheese sauce if desired.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the steak at its juiciest and the pasta creamy and warm.
