Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust
- 2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs (about 24 cookies)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
For the Cheesecake Filling
- 3 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup Reese’s pieces or chopped Reese’s cups
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Topping
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- Whipped cream
- Extra Oreo cookies for garnish
- Chopped Reese’s cups
- Crushed nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a springform pan with parchment paper. Combine the Oreo cookie crumbs with the melted butter and press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- Bake the Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. After baking, remove from the oven and let it cool while you prepare the filling.
- Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the smooth peanut butter and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Beat in the eggs one at a time to ensure a smooth mixture. Gently fold in the Reese’s pieces or chopped Reese’s cups to incorporate evenly.
- Bake the Cheesecake: Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled Oreo crust, spreading it evenly. Bake in the 325°F oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Once done, turn off the oven and crack the oven door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool slowly inside for 1 hour to prevent cracking.
- Chill the Cheesecake: Transfer the cheesecake to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to set completely.
- Add Toppings: Before serving, drizzle the top with caramel sauce. Pipe or dollop whipped cream on top, then garnish with extra Oreo cookies, chopped Reese’s cups, and optional crushed nuts for added texture and flavor.
- Slice and Serve: Slice into generous pieces and serve to enjoy the decadent layers of chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel bliss.
Notes
- Ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing and a smooth filling.
- Use a springform pan to easily remove the cheesecake without damaging it.
- Allow the cheesecake to cool gradually in the oven to avoid cracks on the surface.
- Chilling overnight improves slice quality and flavor infusion.
- You can substitute crushed nuts with your favorites like pecans or walnuts for added crunch.
